SkyWall

THE INTERNET IS GREAT, BUT THERE’S NOTHING BETWEEN YOU AND, WELL, EVERYTHING

There’s no off switch, and the path of least resistance is always the most self-destructive. Have you resigned yourself to never really being able to get away from sites you know you shouldn’t visit; behavior you know you shouldn’t engage in? But what if it didn’t have to be this way anymore, what if it was the other way around, where the self-destructive behaviors were now on the path of most resistance. SkyWall works by putting the internet behind a system you control, so you only allow the parts of it you want. What sort of a new you could you imagine with a tool like that?

THE SKYWALL Approach

SkyWall takes a different approach: there are no separate apps or portals to control the settings, and no passwords to maintain. Instead, the program works on the principle of a delay: you can change any setting, any time, but you must first wait to do so, and during the waiting you have plenty of time to cancel the change. The choice of delay is up to you – 2 hours, 3 hours, or whatever you feel is necessary. Choose a delay value that’s high enough that sitting around waiting for it would constitute wasting too much time and be amazed at how the urge to act out simply disappears.

Additional Features

SkyWall blocks proxies and VPNs, so there’s no getting around it easily. You can also block the uninstallation of SkyWall itself, and, should you be a hacker capable of tampering with the program, SkyWall can even strip admin access from all accounts on the machine, forcing you to go through the delay mechanism to perform actions requiring administrative access.
